Uncertain of America's Future

I can't help but feel concerned when in comes to 30,000 more American troops going overseas. We lost several billion dollars due to a war that
most of us didn't agree with. A lot of Americans were angry and heartbroken after 9-11 and rightfully so. We wanted to go after the man behind all the madness and many Americans volenteered to be available to fight for our country. We started in Pakistan where Bin Laden is still hiding, yet we also ended up in Afganistan & Iraq which had nothing to do with 9-11.Only to go after a man that our former president had a personal grudge against and claimed there were weapons of Mass Destruction which have yet to be seen. Countless Americans losing their lives and several billions lost. More than I care to imagine. My sympathies to Obama as he literally has the weight of the world on his shoulders and many are counting on him to make a difference. I do believe he is trying to make a difference, but he is trying to fix 8 years worth of damage & it could take even longer to fix.

Are Changes in Healthcare for the Better?

Recently, the decision was made to raise the age of women to receive mammograms annually for women up to the age of 50 ( twice a year for women over 40) and annual pap tests for women to the age of 30 (women in their 20's to get this exam every 2 years).
Though health insurance providers want to avoid spending money then it isn't necessary, I am highly concerned. I personally know of 2 cases where women under 40 were diagnosed with breast cancer.. One of the 2 were survivors.
I have known of four cases of women in their early 20's that were diagnosed with cervical cancer. This scares me. Carcer has no descrimination when it comes to age. This could lead to existing problems remaining unnoticed until it is too late. This could be a disaster in the making.

You can Lead Horses to Water, But Can't Make Them Drink it

Sometimes I wish self esteem and pride came in a bottle, so I can give one to all my friends and aquantances that do not have enough of it.
I know so many people that are used by people and mistreated. It truely frustrates me to see people I care about, even people I do not know, continue to allow others to do these things to them.
Maybe they are lonely and would rather be taken advantage of then have no social life. Maybe they do not feel that they deserve better.
I try to be understanding in spite of how upset this all makes me.
As we do not really know exactly what people go through.
I still shrug my shoulders.
We can only be there for people and advise them
but we can't make their decisions for them.

Kayne is Out for the Count.

I can nt help but express my feelings of disgust when I think of Kayne West,
Who has a history of running his mouth before he thinks about the consequences.
When he interrupted Taylor Swift at the music awards while she was proceeding to say her
acceptance speech, he went way over the top. He was rude, disrespectful and it was in very poor taste.
Making a political statement is one thing, but come on!
How many times can you apologise for saying things on national television that you should
have never said? His apology to the young starlet lacked sorrow or compassion for what he astually did.
Message for you Kayne,you blew it. You can't turn back the clock and take back what you
have done. You lost a lot of fans that night, including myself. My Registration Fee CD is
going for charity. I'm sure someone out there will enjoy it.
